LOCAL RELIEF Our congregation has been approached by the local parish school board to help furnish shoes and socks and other school needs for the children of displaced persons of KATRINA. The children are in need of shoes and socks NOW. As of a result of this we have decided to use the funds we have and the funds that other congregations have fowarded to us for the relief effort to take care of our local needs first and then if anything is left after to forward on or maintain the fund for any further assistance needed by the local relief effort.          If you as an individual or your congregation would like to have a part in this undertaking please forward a check payable to the MAPLEWOOD CHURCH OF CHRIST and marked for KATRINA and RITA RELIEF.
